Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud insists that he is "fully focused" on his current club amid talk of interest from Liverpool.

Mahmoud Dahoud has insisted that he is "fully focused" on Borussia Monchengladbach amid reports that Liverpool want to sign the young German.

Dahoud, 20, has a contract with his current club until 2018, but it is understood that Liverpool are making strong moves to convince the youngster to swap teams in this summer's transfer window.

The midfielder, however, has insisted that he wants to stay at Gladbach and 'continue improving'.

"I am fully focused on Monchengladbach at the moment. Who says I should leave Gladbach?" Dahoud told Kicker. I still have room for improvement. My finishing has to improve, I have to get stronger in the air and I can still improve physically to get stronger on the pitch."

Dahoud, who is a German Under-21 international, was born in Amouda, Syria.
