Jadon Sancho was left out of Borussia Dortmund's starting XI for Wednesday's clash with Barcelona after turning up late for a team meeting, according to a report.

Jadon Sancho was reportedly not included in Borussia Dortmund's starting XI for Wednesday's clash with Barcelona after turning up considerably late for a team meeting.

The England international was named on the bench for the Champions League tie, with BVB boss Lucien Favre claiming that the attacker was not "focused and ready" to start.

The 19-year-old came off the bench at the interval before registering late on, although he could not prevent his team from suffering a 3-1 loss at Camp Nou.

According to Bild, Favre took the decision to drop the former Manchester City youngster after he turned up late to a team meeting in the hours before the clash in Catalonia.

Sancho had already been dropped and fined by his German club last month for reporting back late following international duty with England.

Dortmund are reportedly now prepared to sell the teenager during the January transfer window, which is likely to alert the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
