How Barcelona could line up against Inter Milan

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

Barcelona will round off their Group F campaign when they travel to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Spanish champions have already booked their spot in the knockout round of the competition with a match to spare, although they will have a huge say on whether Inter or Borussia Dortmund join them.

Ernesto Valverde's side will bring a six-game winning run into this contest, with their latest success coming at home to Mallorca on Saturday night, where Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in a 5-2 win.

Barca have also only lost one of their previous nine encounters with Inter in European competition, and the Catalan giants recorded a 2-1 victory in the reverse match earlier this season.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the away side could line up in the European affair.

POSS BAR XI vs. INT

Out: Ousmane Dembele (hamstring), Jordi Alba (muscle), Nelson Semedo (calf)
Doubtful: Arthur (adductor), Ansu Fati (knee)

Barca will again be without the services of French attacker Ousmane Dembele due to a hamstring problem, while first-choice full-backs Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo remain on the treatment table.

Arthur and Ansu Fati would have been candidates to start Tuesday's clash in Milan, but the pair missed out against Mallorca on Saturday through injury and are doubts for the European affair.

Valverde is expected to shuffle his pack with qualification already secure, though, meaning that the likes of Arturo Vidal, Carles Perez and Samuel Umtiti are all in line for starts.

Luis Suarez could drop out with the Uruguay international struggling with injury this season, while Sergio Busquets could also be rested ahead of league games against Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.

Ivan Rakitic has worked his way back into favour at Camp Nou, though, and the Croatia international is expected to line up in central midfield once again, with Frenkie de Jong also being tipped to keep his spot.
