Thomas Muller starts for Bayern Munich, while Diego Godin returns for Atletico Madrid in their Champions League semi-final showdown at the Allianz Arena.

Thomas Muller has been handed a starting spot in Bayern Munich's team, while Atletico Madrid have welcomed back Diego Godin to their side for tonight's Champions League semi-final second leg at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola opted to drop Muller to the bench for last week's first leg, which ended in a 1-0 defeat at the Vicente Calderon.

However, the Spaniard has chosen to bring him back into the first XI alongside Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Douglas Costa and Robert Lewandowski, all of whom were taken out of the lineup for last weekend's Bundesliga match.

Xabi Alonso and Javi Martinez have also come back into the starting side after they were left out of the squad altogether in their domestic fixture, while Franck Ribery starts despite concerns over a back problem.

As for Atletico, manager Diego Simeone has been able to bring back Godin after the defender missed the first leg, while Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres and Koke have returned to the first XI after being handed spots on the bench at the weekend.

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Boateng, Martinez, Alaba; Lahm, Alonso, Vidal; Costa, Muller, Ribery; Lewandowski

Atletico Madrid: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Gimenez, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Augusto, Koke, Saul; Griezmann, Torres
