Premier League transfers: Confirmed ins and outs for summer window 2025

Keep track of every Premier League signing and departure during the 2025 summer transfer window with Sports Mole's comprehensive guide.

As pre-season preparations ramp up, Premier League transfer activity is inevitably also gathering pace, as title chasers, European hopefuls and those perhaps anticipating a survival scrap bolster their ranks and get rid of the deadwood.

At the time of writing on July 17, there have been a total of 364 transactions involving teams from the English top flight - 146 departures and 218 arrivals - including some big-money signings in North London.

Indeed, Arsenal have added Martin Zubimendi to their ranks for a little over £60m, and the three-time Premier League winners are soon expected to add Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera to their North London ranks too.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have made Mohammed Kudus their second-most expensive signing of all time, and the Europa League winners remain in hot pursuit of Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, despite the threat of legal action from the Garibaldi.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are deciding whether to put all their eggs in the Hugo Ekitike or Alexander Isak basket, and Manchester United are not giving up hope of a deal for Brentford wing king Bryan Mbeumo.

Keep track of every transfer deal done in the Premier League from the summer 2025 window courtesy of Sports Mole's daily club-by-club tracker below!

ARSENAL

The big-money striker may still be pending, but as of July 10, Arsenal have already completed three critical pieces of business for the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Gunners have had to replace both defensive midfielders this summer following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey, and they have done so rapidly with the captures of Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.

The latter was confirmed as Arsenal's latest acquisition on Thursday lunchtime, joining from Brentford for an initial £10m fee, which could reach £12m based on performance-related add-ons.

Both number sixes are also sharing a dressing room with new goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, but the time is nigh for Andrea Berta to intensify his efforts to bring Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres to the club.

It has been relatively quiet on the outgoings front so far, though, and Arsenal have only received a fee for two players so far - Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Arsenal's 2025 summer transfer window.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa have high hopes for the 2025-26 season and they are keen to build on a campaign in which they competed in the Champions League after more than 40 years away from Europe's top competition.

BOURNEMOUTH

Bournemouth secured their return to the Premier League ahead of the 2022-23 season, and the Cherries have steadily climbed the rankings in each of the following three campaigns.

Andoni Iraola led the team to a particularly promising 2024-25 season, as the Cherries finished ninth in the table and just nine points adrift of the European places.

Bournemouth will be looking to get closer to European qualification next term, but that task has been made trickier by the departures of Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez.

Keeping hold of Huijsen was always going to be a tall order this summer considering his performances, and Real Madrid ultimately secured his signature, beating the likes of Liverpool to a deal.

Liverpool, though, did manage to win the race for Kerkez, who has also been an outstanding performer for the club of late, with two key defensive players moving on this summer.

The Cherries appear to have replaced Kerkez with Adrien Truffert, while they will be searching for a suitable replacement for Huijsen, and potentially another centre-back if Ilya Zabarnyi leaves this summer.

The club recently announced one of their most important pieces of business of the summer, confirming a new five-year deal for key attacker Antoine Semenyo, who had been linked with a potential move away.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs to be linked with Semenyo, but news of a fresh contract will be a welcome boost for the club's fans ahead of the new campaign.

Bournemouth will begin their preparations for the new campaign with a friendly against Hibernian on July 15, and the team are building towards the start of their 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

Iraola's side will tackle Liverpool in their first game of the new season on August 15, while their second fixture of the campaign sees them host Wolverhampton Wanderers eight days later.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Bournemouth's 2025 summer transfer window.

BRENTFORD

Brentford have become an established top-flight team and have made a strong impression since earning their historic promotion to the Premier League ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The Bees recorded their second-highest finish in the Premier League in 2024-25 as Thomas Frank led them to 10th in the table, but having lost their long-term manager to Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford must perfect their summer window if they are to match that achievement in 2025-26.

Brentford have already been active in the market, with four incomings and six departures confirmed at this early stage, but plenty more business is anticipated as the squad is set to be sculpted for new head coach Keith Andrews.

With rumours circling of important players potentially being on the move, Brentford must both replace and improve in areas if they are to compete and secure another steady campaign in the Premier League.

Bryan Mbeumo's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Manchester United working to complete a deal for the Cameroon international.

The Red Devils are said to have already failed with two offers for the attacker, and Brentford are believed to be holding firm on their £65m asking price, with the Bees wanting most of that paid up front.

Keeping hold of Yoane Wissa is also expected to prove difficult, with Frank believed to be determined to bring the striker with him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Brentford are working towards the start of their 2025-26 Premier League campaign, with the team beginning away to Nottingham Forest on August 17.

The Bees will then take on Aston Villa on August 23 in their first home match of the season, and it will be fascinating to see what the team can achieve next term considering that it has already been a summer of change.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Brentford's 2025 summer transfer window.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION

Brighton and Hove Albion are gearing up for their ninth consecutive season as a Premier League club and will aim to finish in the top half of the table for the second year running after ending the previous campaign in eighth spot.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side narrowly missed out on European qualification and that has subsequently led to the departure of star forward Joao Pedro to Chelsea, while other key first-team players may also opt to seeks pastures new.

Keeping hold of Pedro was always going to be difficult; Newcastle United were the first team to make a move for the Brazilian this summer, but it was Chelsea that ultimately won the race for his signature.

However, Brighton have been busy strengthening their squad this summer, with teenage starlet Charalampos Kostoulas the standout acquisition thus far from Olympiacos.

The Seagulls are expected to further boost their squad before the start of the new campaign.

Brighton will begin their 2025-26 Premier League season against Fulham on August 16, while they will also tackle Everton and Manchester City before the end of the month.

The sale of Pedro has given them funds to reinvest, and it will be fascinating to see whether any other high-profile players leave the Seagulls before the end of the summer transfer window.

Kaoru Mitoma's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the Japan international proving to be an outstanding signing for the club since his arrival in 2021.

Bayern Munich are the latest club to be linked with the 28-year-old, but it was reported at the start of the month that Mitoma wants to sign a new contract with Brighton rather than move on this summer.

BURNLEY

Burnley could hardly have asked for a better campaign, securing promotion back to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship with a staggering 100 points.

Attention at Turf Moor now turns to making their stay in the top flight a lasting one. There is a real determination within the camp to avoid a repeat of the 2023-24 season — a forgettable run in the first tier that ended in relegation with just 24 points. This time around, the goal is straightforward: stay up and build.

The club has wasted no time in laying the groundwork, converting four loan deals into permanent transfers after those players impressed during their temporary spells. With Scott Parker now steering the ship, recruitment will be key as Burnley look to add the right blend of quality and depth ahead of the 2025-26 season.

A replacement for CJ Egan-Riley will be one of the pressing needs this summer, while the future of goalkeeper James Trafford also remains uncertain, with rumours of a potential exit continuing to swirl. If he does move on, Burnley will need to act swiftly and wisely to fill another big gap in their squad.

There could also be a significant outgoing in defence, with Frenchman Maxime Esteve supposedly taking the fancy of Europa League holders Tottenham Hotspur.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Burnley's 2025 summer transfer window.

CHELSEA

Chelsea are currently preparing to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final on Sunday night, but there is plenty of transfer activity transpiring behind the scenes.

The Blues have spent in excess of £100m to get deals for Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens over the line in recent weeks, Pedro having already delivered two goals in the United States.

Meanwhile, funds have been raised through the sale of Kepa Arrizabalaga to Arsenal, Chelsea also benefitting from getting the Spanish goalkeeper's wages off their outgoings.

In the short term, the focus is seemingly on facilitating more departures with Noni Madueke being heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal for a fee between £45m and £55m.

However, the England international - if he leaves Stamford Bridge - will be one of many exits over the coming weeks as Chelsea bid to trim Enzo Maresca's squad to suit his preferences and generate enough money to ensure that complying with financial regulations is not an issue in the future.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Chelsea's 2025 summer transfer window.

CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace are looking to build on a historic 2024-25 campaign in which they won the FA Cup, beating Manchester City in the final to win their first major trophy.

Oliver Glasner’s side had to settle for a 12th-placed finish in the Premier League, but their FA Cup triumph has seen them qualify for the Europa League for the very first time.

However, Palace are in danger of losing their European spot and await UEFA’s decision to either include or expel the Eagles from the Europa League following the multi-club ownership debacle with John Textor and Lyon.

It remains to be seen whether the verdict will have an impact on Palace’s transfer business, with some star players, including Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, facing an uncertain future at the club.

EVERTON

Having consistently struggled for Premier League survival in previous seasons, Everton found some stability and managed to secure a comfortable 13th-placed finish in the 2024-25 campaign, finishing 23 points above the relegation zone.

As they waved goodbye to Goodison Park after 133 years, the Toffees welcomed back familiar face David Moyes in January after sacking Sean Dyche, and the returning boss rescued the club from another relegation scrap during their final season at their storied home ground.

Hoping to make a strong start to life at their newly-built Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton will be keen to build on their performances from the second half of last season by strengthening their squad in the transfer market, and after a number of players left when their contracts expired, they have gaps in their group to fill.

So far, the Toffees have sealed three signings, but Moyes is expecting further additions to be made in the coming weeks.

FULHAM

Fulham are gearing up for their fourth consecutive Premier League season having continued their steady improvement last time around, eventually finishing 11th after dropped out of the top half on the final day.

Despite a 10th-placed finish on their return to the top flight in the 2022-23 campaign, last season produced the Cottagers’ highest-ever Premier League points tally, as they finished on 54 thanks to 15 victories from their 38 games.

Now preparing for their fifth season under the management of Marco Silva, the West Londoners will attempt to continue to establish themselves in the top flight’s mid-table and make a return to the top half, while a push for the European positions could also be on the cards.

Silva’s men are yet to make a single signing this summer after several departures upon the expiration of their contracts, but they are expected to be more active as the 2025-26 season draws nearer.

Fulham broke their transfer record last summer, bringing in Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal for an initial £27m, and the Cottagers are believed to have the funds available to potentially break that in the current window.

Silva's side are working towards their 2025-26 Premier League opener, which comes away to Brighton & Hove Albion on August 16, before welcoming Manchester United to Craven Cottage in their season match of the new campaign.

Fulham will head to the Algarve for a training camp in late July, with two fixtures set to take place, before travelling back to the United Kingdom to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in their final friendly of the summer.

LEEDS

Now that the title-winning dust has settled, Championship champions Leeds United are tirelessly preparing for a highly-anticipated return to Premier League football for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Yorkshire club will enter the new campaign under the guidance of Daniel Farke, who saw his position called into question at the end of last term despite guiding Leeds to the top flight.

Having been given the vote of confidence, Farke will hope to assemble a strong squad that can compete in the Premier League next season.

The Yorkshire club have already strengthened their backline with Jaka Bijol and Sebastian Bornauw, while Lukas Nmecha has been added to Farke's forward options.

They have until the September 1 deadline to make further additions, but they will be keen to get more players through the door before they start the new season against Everton on August 18.

LIVERPOOL

After winning the Premier League in 2024-25, Liverpool have shown no intention of allowing their competitor to catch up, with the club spending significant sum in their quest to retain their crown next season and win their 21st title.

At the time of writing, Arne Slot has already welcomed five new faces to the home of the English champions, most notably the club's all-time most expensive signing, Florian Wirtz.

The Germany international will  is not the only star from Bayer Leverkusen to have made the switch to Anfield, with dynamic right-back Jeremie Frimpong following from the Bundesliga, and the Dutchman will be expected to bomb down the flank while left-back Milos Kerkez charges up the opposite side.

There has also been sizeable change in the goalkeeping department, as the permanent exit of Caoimhin Kelleher and temporary departures of Harvey Davies and Vitezslav Jaros have vacated spots for Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman to fill.

At least one or two new arrivals are still anticipated in defence and attack - strikers Alexander Isak of Newcastle United and Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt have been linked - as the Reds seek a Jarell Quansah replacement and the possibility of a winger arriving at Anfield cannot be ruled out given the uncertainty surround Luis Diaz amid interest from Bayern Munich.

MANCHESTER CITY

Following a underwhelming 2024-25 season and an early Club World Cup exit at the last-16 stage, Manchester City are determined to put things right in the new 2025-26 campaign.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Matheus Cunha is getting acclimatised to his new surroundings at Old Trafford following his switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Manchester United's £62.5m summer signing is yet to rub shoulders with any other fresh faces, barring young defender Diego Leon.

Big things are expected from Leon, with the teenager already revealing that he is fully expecting to be a part of the senior set-up at the club.

Man United still have a couple of priorities to address before the window slams shut at 7pm on September 1, as Ruben Amorim seeks goalkeeping, midfield and attacking reinforcements to help steer the Red Devils back into the promised land of Europe.

Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo is their leading target in the final third of the field, but a deal for the Cameroon international has still not been completed.

Indeed, two offers for the attacker have been turned down, with Brentford holding out for as much as £65m for a player who starred during the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

The expectation is that Mbeumo will arrive in the not too distant future, but any further additions are likely to be dependent on outgoings.

Marcus Rashford has been stripped of the number 10 shirt, with Cunha handed the famous jersey, and the England international is one of those expected to move on this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have also been given extra time off this summer in order to explore other opportunities.

As a result, they are not currently training with the first-team squad at the Carrington complex.

However, rumours suggesting that Kobbie Mainoo could leave this summer have quietened, and the expectation is that the England international will remain at Old Trafford beyond the transfer deadline.

Man United are building towards their 2025-26 Premier League opener against Arsenal, and the team's preparations for the new campaign will begin with a friendly against Leeds United on July 19, before making the trip to the United States for a pre-season tour, and a deal for Mbeumo is expected to be confirmed by then.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Man Utd's 2025 summer transfer window.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

The 2024-25 season was a memorable one for Newcastle United, who sealed their return to the Champions League with a fifth-placed Premier League finish and picked up their first major domestic trophy since 1995, as Dan Burn and Alexander Isak fired them to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the final of the League Cup back in March.

Their top-five finish came thanks to a haul of 66 points, six more than in the 2023-24 campaign, as Eddie Howe’s side pipped Aston Villa to the final Champions League spot on goal difference despite suffering a final-day defeat to Everton.

The Magpies now turn their focus to an important upcoming campaign, in which they will be tested again on the European stage while bidding to establish themselves in the division’s top five once again, having memorably finished fourth in 2023.

Howe’s side have completed one signing on a free transfer thus far, while being linked with several other transfers which are anticipated to take place before the beginning of the new term, and the Magpies will hope to fend off interest in star forward Alexander Isak, who has notched up 54 goals in 86 Premier League appearances since his arrival in 2022.

Isak is believed to be on the radar of the majority of leading clubs in world football, but it is incredibly difficult to imagine the Sweden international leaving during the summer market.

Indeed, it would take an astronomical offer to sign the striker, and talk of a potential move to Arsenal or Liverpool has quietened in recent weeks.

Newcastle's preparations for the 2025-26 campaign will begin with a pre-season friendly against Scottish giants Celtic on July 19, while they will also tackle Arsenal, Espanyol and Atletico Madrid in non-competitive matches.

Those fixtures against quality opposition should stand the team in good stead for the start of the new campaign.

Howe's side will begin their new Premier League season away to Aston Villa on August 16, while their first home game of the campaign is at home to the champions Liverpool on August 23, so it is a blockbuster start.

Newcastle will again be expecting to challenge for a Champions League finish next term, but there will a lot of clubs thinking the same, while the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur should improve.

Anthony Elanga's £55m arrival from Nottingham Forest was confirmed on July 11.

Here, Sports Mole lists every arrival and exit during Newcastle United’s 2025 summer transfer window.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

While all Nottingham Forest fans would have jumped for joy had you told them that their team would finish the 2024-25 season in seventh place in the Premier League, knowing how it all went down will certainly leave a bitter taste for some of them.

Led by Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest ended 2024 in second place and had a great opportunity to secure a spot in the Champions League, but they had to be satisfied with Conference League qualification after they ran out of steam in the final third of the season.

Forest are yet to add to their squad, but that could change in the coming weeks with the Premier League side widely expected to sign three Botofago players once the Brazilian side have finished their obligations at the Club World Cup, including striker Igor Jesus.

He has made a notable impression in the United States, scoring in games against the Seattle Sounders and Paris Saint-Germain to raise expectations ahead of his transfer to the City Ground.

They will hope to build a squad capable of maintaining their top-seven spot in the Premier League all while competing in the 2025-26 Conference League.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White are among those who have been linked with potential moves away from the City Ground during the summer market.

Meanwhile, there is talk of foreign interest in players such as Jota Silva, a valuable squad member who was limited to five Premier League starts in 2024-25.

For obvious reasons, head coach Nuno will want to keep his key players at the club, including Anthony Elanga, who is currently the subject of interest from Newcastle United.

Forest are believed to have already rejected an offer in the region of £50m for Elanga, with the Magpies potentially returning with a fresh bid for the Sweden international in the near future.

The Reds are due to begin their preparations for the new campaign with a pre-season friendly against Chesterfield on July 12.

Forest are building towards their Premier League opener against Brentford on August 17, which will take place in front of their own supporters.

Nuno's side will then make the trip to Crystal Palace on August 23 for their second game of the season, and it will be fascinating to see the squad that is in place for the new campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Nottingham Forest's 2025 summer transfer window.

SUNDERLAND

Despite ending the regular season in the Championship on a five-game losing streak, Sunderland secured their place in the playoffs with a comfortable fourth-placed finish.

Sunderland’s dramatic playoff run was defined by their knack for late goals, with a stoppage-time winner in the first leg and a 122nd-minute equaliser in the return leg helping them edge past Coventry City in the semi-finals. That was followed by Tommy Watson’s 95th-minute strike to secure a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United in the final.

The win marked Sunderland’s long-awaited return to the Premier League, ending an eight-year absence since their relegation in 2017. However, manager Regis Le Bris knows that staying in the top flight will pose a far greater challenge.

This summer has already seen significant movement, with playoff hero Watson joining Brighton & Hove Albion and rising star Jobe Bellingham making a big-money move to Borussia Dortmund. On a positive note, Enzo Le Fée's loan from Roma has been made permanent.

Sunderland also smashed their transfer record by signing Habib Diarra from Strasbourg for £30 million, and the club is expected to continue strengthening the squad ahead of their Premier League opener against West Ham United on August 16.

Given their spending at the start of this window, Sunderland are expected to have a good attempt at avoiding an immediate return to the Championship.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Sunderland's 2025 summer transfer window.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

From zero to 100, Tottenham Hotspur's transfer activity is finally hitting top gear following a slow start to the summer market, where the biggest incomings and outgoings were in the dugout rather than on the field.

Fast-forward to mid-July, and the reigning Europa League champions are poised to bring in not one, but two marquee attackers to lead the Thomas Frank revolution, including £55m West Ham United man Mohammed Kudus.

The Ghana international is expected to be unveiled as Spurs' fifth signing of the summer imminently, joining Kevin Danso, Mathys Tel - two former loanees - Luka Vuskovic and £5m defender Kota Takai in the English capital.

Not content with just the one new versatile attacker in their ranks, Tottenham have reportedly rapidly moved onto Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, who will undergo his Spurs medical on Friday after the Lilywhites activated his £60m release clause.

Gibbs-White and Kudus's arrivals will take Spurs' spending for the summer over the £150m mark, but with the powers-that-be seemingly significantly investing into the squad, more arrivals cannot be ruled out.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Tottenham's 2025 summer transfer window.

WEST HAM UNITED

West Ham United endured a rough and turbulent 2024-25, slipping down to 14th place in the Premier League having achieved a ninth-placed finish in 2023-24.

The Hammers were looking forward to the campaign after appointing Julen Lopetegui to replace David Moyes in the summer, but went on to replace the Spanish manager with former Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea boss Graham Potter in January.

However, the club's situation only marginally improved under his leadership, and they picked up a mere 23 points during the 19 games he was in the hotseat.

As attention turns to Potter's first full season at the London Stadium, the Irons will be desperate to better their lowest finish for five years by recruiting from the transfer market.

To date, West Ham's only incoming has been a loan deal made permanent, though a number of players have left the club upon the expiry of their contracts.

Mohammed Kudus is also close to leaving the London Stadium, with Tottenham Hotspur in advanced discussions over a deal which is expected to be worth in the region of £55m.

West Ham will begin their preparations for the new season with a friendly against GC Zurich on July 19, and the team will then head to the United States at the end of the month for the Premier League Summer Series.

The Hammers will tackle Manchester United in the opening match of their US Tour, while they will also face Everton and Bournemouth before returning to the United Kingdom.

West Ham's final pre-season friendly of the summer comes against Lille on August 9, seven days before their 2025-26 Premier League campaign begins away to Sunderland.

The team's first home match of the new league season sees them tackle Chelsea on August 22, and the club's supporters will be hoping that more signings have been made before that match takes place.

Here, Sports Mole follows each of the Hammers' incomings and outgoings during the 2025 summer transfer window.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were treated to a rollercoaster ride of a season that featured both a serious threat of relegation and some impressive runs of form.

Vitor Pereira spearheaded the second half of the campaign, transforming Wolves from likely relegation candidates to a team who have hope for the future under the Portuguese.

That is despite the likes of Nelson Semedo, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha all departing the club in recent weeks.

As it stands, only Celta Vigo playmaker Fer Lopez has been added to the squad in a big-money deal, super-agent Jorge Mendes having played a role courtesy of his previous close ties with Wolves.

More players are destined to follow, however, with money to spend on future and established players. The club's fanbase hope that it is more of the latter given the experience that has moved onto pastures new over the past month.

Wolves will find themselves battling a wide array of other clubs for the same targets, hoping that Pereira's reputation and the presence of Brazil internationals in the engine room will work in their favour.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up every new signing and departure from Wolves' 2025 summer transfer window.

That exceptional registration period closed on June 10, before the window reopens again on June 16. The transfer window will then close on September 1, and remain closed until January.
