Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Friday's FA Cup fourth-round clash with Arsenal.

Manchester City are sweating over the fitness of Phil Foden ahead of Friday's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

The England international missed the weekend's Premier League win over Wolverhampton Wanderers with a foot problem, and Pep Guardiola could not guarantee his availability for this one.

The Citizens have a clean bill of health otherwise, and Guardiola should name a strong XI for the visit of the Premier League leaders, although Stefan Ortega could still continue ahead of Ederson in goal.

Ruben Dias could also force his way back into the defence alongside Manuel Akanji, while Kyle Walker could also be recalled in a bid to keep Gabriel Martinelli quiet, as Nathan Ake occupies the opposite flank.

The fresh legs of Bernardo Silva should also come in handy in the middle of the park, where the ever-present Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne should complete the triumvirate.

Erling Braut Haaland - who netted his fourth Premier League hat-trick at the weekend - should not be in any danger of losing his place, and the same can be said for a reinvigorated Riyad Mahrez.

Should Foden miss out entirely, Julian Alvarez - who netted a penalty in City's 4-0 win over Chelsea in the third round - could fend off Jack Grealish for another start here.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ortega; Walker, Dias, Akanji, Ake; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Haaland, Alvarez
