Carlos Bacca's agent says that his client had "no reason" to leave AC Milan for West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Carlos Bacca had "no reason" to leave AC Milan for West Ham United in the summer, according to the player's agent Sergio Barila.

Milan and the Hammers reportedly agreed a fee, but the transfer broke down when Bacca opted to stay put at San Siro.

Now, the striker's agent has suggested that West Ham was not appealing enough for the Colombian.

"There were various clubs interested, but what Carlos prioritised was the football aspect and the best for his family, not the financial," Barila told Colombian publication El Heraldo. "He's very happy in Italy. He's happy in Milan, and the club are happy with him."

When asked if he was referring to West Ham and Paris Saint-Germain, Bacca said: "If an offer interests both, then a transfer could be done, but for now, there is no such option. There is no reason for Bacca to leave AC Milan."

The 30-year-old has scored six goals in his first 10 appearances this season.
