The world number two will face his Davis Cup teammate Kyle Edmund in the final eight after he saw off Bedene 6-3 6-4 on the grass court on Thursday.

Bedene tried to cause a problem in Murray's opening service game by creating a break point, but the Scotsman managed to save.

Games went by the way of serve until Murray broke to put him in the driving seat and take the first set in 39 minutes.

The second set was more competitive as Bedene broke back instantly after losing serve, but Murray showed his experience by breaking again to take a 4-3 lead.

In the end, it was comfortable for Murray as he wrapped up the match on his serve.
