The Football Association is looking into claims that coins were thrown at Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser during Saturday's 2-0 win over Cardiff City.

The Football Association has confirmed that an investigation has been launched into allegations that coins were thrown at Ryan Fraser during Cardiff City's 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Play was halted 36 minutes into Saturday's match after Fraser complained of being hit by objects from the Cardiff end, which he handed over to referee Kevin Friend.

The 24-year-old, who opened the scoring for Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, was not hurt during the incident.

Bournemouth went on to secure all three points thanks to Callum Wilson's close-range finish in added time at the end of the game.

Cardiff play host to Newcastle United in their next outing, while the Cherries travel to West Ham United.
