Great Britain's Max Whitlock has won his second gold of the day with success on the pommel horse in Rio.
Whitlock had already made history less an hour before by becoming his country's first Olympic gymnastics champion with a surprise gold on the floor, and he followed that up by beating teammate Louis Smith in his favoured event.
The 23-year-old became a double Olympic champion with a score of 15.966 after an almost-flawless display with the penultimate routine of the competition.
Smith had earlier recorded a score of 15.833, which proved to be good enough for a second consecutive Olympic silver and his fourth Olympic medal overall.
USA's Alexander Naddour made up the medals with bronze, finishing just ahead of France's Cyril Tommasone.
