Fernando Alonso has added another rising star to his A14 Management program — and this one carries a legendary Formula 1 surname.

Fernando Alonso has added another rising star to his A14 Management program — and this one carries a legendary Formula 1 surname.

The two-time world champion has been building a growing stable of young talent, with Sauber rookie Gabriel Bortoleto currently his highest-profile client.

And during his home race weekend in Spain, Alonso's management company announced its latest signing — Sebastian Montoya.

"A14 Management is pleased to announce that Sebas Montoya has joined the company," the team stated during the Spanish GP weekend.

Montoya, 20, is the son of former F1 and Indy 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya. The younger Montoya made headlines on Sunday with a second-place finish in the Formula 2 feature race — a performance that came just hours after the A14 news broke.

Bortoleto, meanwhile, continues to credit Alonso's backing for his rise through the ranks.

"Fernando was a great support for me since Formula 3," the Brazilian told DAZN. "He helped me get to F3 and also Formula 2 and gave me so much good advice.

"He's been great for me," Bortoleto added in Barcelona. "I'm very happy to have him as my manager. No amount of money can pay for the things I have learned from him, and it is the experience coming from one of the best of all time."

Also managed by A14 are F2's Pepi Marti, Formula E driver Maximilian Günther, Dani Juncadella and others — with more prospects continuing to join Alonso's growing driver development empire.
