Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified a highly-regarded Liverpool prospect as a potential summer transfer target.
Vitor Pereira suggested in an interview earlier this week that he is interested in adding to the Portuguese contingent at Molineux from next month onwards.
However, a balance will need to be found, both in terms of the short and long term as Wolves look to ensure that they spend their immediate future away from the Premier League relegation zone.
There is already the prospect of teenagers such as Pedro Lima and Mateus Mane playing roles in the first-team squad during 2024-25, yet it appears that there may be another talented youngster who could join them in the senior ranks.

Wolves make Morrison move
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have made an approach to sign Liverpool talent Kieran Morrison.
The 18-year-old is said to be the subject of interest for many clubs across Europe, yet it appears that Wolves are preparing to steal a march on their rivals for his signature.
While Morrison is yet to make his debut for the Premier League champions, he did feature on the substitutes' bench for the Champions League dead-rubber versus PSV Eindhoven in January.
Morrison contributed a total of three goals and four assists from 19 appearances in Premier League 2 this season, with a further three strikes coming in the UEFA Youth League.
His versatility is proving to be one of his strengths, the eight-cap Northern Ireland Under-19 international capable of playing in midfield or across the forward line.

What decision will Liverpool make?
As well as Liverpool having a decision to make over whether to hand Morrison a new contract, the player himself must determine where is best to progress his career.
His only experience of senior football, as it stands, is during three EFL Trophy fixtures against Blackpool, Barrow and Harrogate Town.
Although positives can be taken from being named in the travelling party for the PSV game in January, the fact that he did not make it onto the pitch suggests that Arne Slot does not see him as a future first-teamer.
Regardless of whether he stays at Liverpool or signs for Wolves, a loan stint in the EFL is theoretically the best option in the short term.
