A report claims that West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has handed in a transfer request at the Premier League club.

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has reportedly handed in a transfer request.

The Hammers have not been subtle in their attempts to sign a high-profile centre-forward this summer and according to Sky Sports News, the speculation has unsettled the 26-year-old forward.

It is understood that Sunderland made an £11m bid for the Senegal international earlier this summer, but that offer was rejected by the board at West Ham.

Sakho joined the capital outfit from Metz in 2014 and has scored 19 times in 49 appearances, including 15 times in the Premier League.
