West Ham United have announced that they have signed Patrice Evra on a free transfer.
Late last year, Evra was sacked by Marseille after kicking a supporter ahead of a fixture in the Europa League, with UEFA ruling that the left-back was suspended from European fixtures for the remainder of the season.
However, the 36-year-old remained eligible for domestic matches and that has led to Hammers boss David Moyes making a move for the former Manchester United player.
