Aaron Cresswell urges West Ham United to "stick together" after being dragged back into the Premier League relegation fold with their defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Aaron Cresswell has urged everyone at West Ham United to "stick together" after a turbulent week which has left the club reeling on and off the pitch.

On Saturday, the Hammers fell to a 3-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion which saw them dragged back into the relegation fold, just three points above the Premier League dropzone.

West Ham also sacked head of recruitment Tony Henry on Friday after allegations surfaced suggesting that he did not want any more African players at the club.

In addition, an underwhelming January transfer window has left fans feeling disgruntled and at loggerheads with the club's hierarchy.

"It's really tight down there in the Premier League - there are only a few points separating the bottom from the top 10," Cresswell told Sky Sports News.

"You win one and lose the next week, and you're right back in it. We have got to keep looking forward to the next game, though, and try to get the points in that.

"We need to stick together and pull in one direction now and go into every game and try to get maximum points. We need to keep pushing up.

"All season has been up and down and when you lose you think you're out of it. But we have to focus on each game as it comes and try to push up for the rest of the season."

West Ham's next game is against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
