Leicester City's Jeffrey Schlupp closes on a £12m move to West Bromwich Albion, according to a report.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly close to signing Jeffrey Schlupp from Leicester City.

The Baggies have been strongly linked with the 23-year-old since the middle of last month, although it is understood that they failed in their first two approaches for the versatile left-sided player.

According to Sky Sports News, a figure of £12m has now been agreed between the two clubs and Schlupp will sign a long-term contract at the Hawthorns ahead of the second weekend of the new Premier League season.

Schlupp, who can operate in both defence and midfield, made 24 Premier League appearances for the Foxes in their title-winning campaign last term.
