West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in appointing Bristol City boss Lee Johnson as the club's new manager.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has reportedly emerged as a candidate for the West Bromwich Albion job.

The Baggies parted company with Alan Pardew earlier this month, and since his departure youth coach Darren Moore has registered five points from three fixtures in the Premier League.

However, it appears that the former centre-back only remains a fringe contender for the full-time position in the dugout and according to The Sun, the club's hierarchy are keen to speak to Johnson.

Bristol City have dropped out of contention for a Championship playoff spot, but West Brom allegedly remain impressed with the job that the 36-year-old has done at Ashton Gate.

West Brom could be relegated from the Premier League on Saturday but it appears that they will waste little time in trying to find a permanent successor to Pardew, who won just three of his 21 matches in charge.
