Watford confirm that midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado has joined Espanyol on a three-year deal.

Watford have confirmed that Jose Manuel Jurado has left the club to join Espanyol on a three-year deal.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Premier League club from Spartak Moscow last summer, made 30 appearances during his single season with the Hornets.

It is believed that new manager Walter Mazzarri did not consider Jurado to be a leading figure in his midfield for the upcoming campaign.

Espanyol is the fourth Spanish club that Jurado will have played for following spells at Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Mallorca.
