How Wales could line up against Switzerland

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Wales could line up against Switzerland in their opening Euro 2020 match.

Caretaker boss Rob Page has a couple of big tactical and selection calls to make ahead of Wales's Euro 2020 opener against Switzerland on Saturday.

Page has used both a three and four-man defence since taking over from Ryan Giggs, who had to step down in November due to an impending court case.

A back three is the most likely option this weekend, which should see Neco Williams and Connor Roberts occupy the wing-back slots.

The other big calls to make are in goal and up front, with Danny Ward expected to get the nod over Wayne Hennessey between the sticks.

After failing to score in their two warm-up games, Wales may be tempted to recall Kieffer Moore - a key player in qualifying - in attack.

However, Page has made clear that he would rather use a false nine through the middle, so Daniel James, Gareth Bale and Harry Wilson are the favourites to start.

In midfield, Aaron Ramsey has barely played for the Dragons over the past couple of years and, with his fitness still lacking, he may well be used as a substitute.

Wales possible starting lineup: Ward; Mepham, Rodon, Davies; Roberts, Allen, Ampadu, Williams; Bale, Wilson, James
