Valencia have reportedly put all but one of their players up for sale as the Spanish club are feeling the effects of lost revenue having played out the season behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The La Liga side are also suffering financially after they failed to qualify for either the Champions League or the Europa League, following an underwhelming ninth placed finish in the league.

Los Murcielagos will miss out on the riches of Champions League football for the first time in three years next season and are now looking to balance the books and make wholesale changes to their squad under new head coach and former Watford boss Javi Gracia.

High-profile players have already left the Mestalla with 20-year-old winger Ferran Torres leaving to join Manchester City, while the Daily Mail reports that Spanish rivals Villarreal have snapped up midfield duo Francis Coquelin and Dani Parejo for a combined total of under £11.5m.

Defender Jose Gaya is understood to be one player that Valencia want to keep despite their financial troubles, as Gracia sees the 25-year-old as a potential club captain.

Fans of Valencia have shown their displeasure to billionaire owner Peter Lim by protesting due to a perceived lack of investment in the club before the sacking of former manager Albert Celades on June 30.

Celades suffered a run of just two wins in 15 matches earlier this year, which included Valencia's crushing 8-4 aggregate defeat by Atalanta in the round of 16 stage of the Champions League.
