Thursday's La Liga predictions including Barcelona vs. Getafe

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Thursday's La Liga fixtures, including Barcelona vs. Getafe.

Atletico vs. Huesca (Thursday, 6.00pm)

La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid will hope to push controversial off-the-pitch events to one side when they prepare for battle against relegation candidates Huesca on Thursday evening.

Diego Simeone's men produced a five-star performance to sweep aside Eibar last time out, while Huesca were brought crashing back down to earth with a 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Alaves.

We say: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Huesca

Pacheta is giving Huesca the best chance possible of staying up and can take pride in his work so far, but a seismic shock at the home of the leaders is surely a step too far for his side.

Inconsistency has been the theme for Atletico in recent weeks, but they should have no trouble putting another relegation-threatened side to the sword in midweek, with another clean sheet to boot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Granada vs. Eibar (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Two teams pining for three points for entirely different reasons lock horns in Thursday's La Liga battle as Granada welcome Eibar to the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

The hosts last took to the pitch for their Europa League quarter-final defeat to Manchester United, while Eibar were swept aside by Atletico Madrid in a 5-0 defeat at the weekend.

We say: Granada 2-1 Eibar

Eibar have been Granada's bogey team in recent La Liga seasons, and Mendilibar's current crop will hope to take inspiration from their recent successes against the European hopefuls.

In spite of the fact that the hosts have not covered themselves in glory since the turn of the year, they have had more time to prepare for this encounter and are expected to prolong Eibar's painful winless streak, so we can only back Martinez's side to claim all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Real Sociedad vs. Celta Vigo (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Real Sociedad will endeavour to end a miserable five-game winless run in La Liga when they play host to Celta Vigo on Thursday evening.

Imanol Alguacil's side were put to the sword by title outsiders Sevilla at the weekend, while Celta Vigo and Cadiz cancelled each other out in a goalless stalemate.

We say: Real Sociedad 2-1 Celta Vigo

If recent tradition is anything to go by, it is Celta's turn to claim all three points in this fixture, but Sociedad are running out of time to register some long-awaited wins and avoid a calamitous collapse in their bid for European football.

The visitors have very little riding on their remaining fixtures compared to Sociedad, and we expect Alguacil's men to take advantage of that fact and end their barren run without victory this week.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Barcelona vs. Getafe (Thursday, 9.00pm)

Having claimed their first piece of silverware for the season, Barcelona will aspire to keep their dreams of La Liga glory alive when they welcome Getafe to Camp Nou on Thursday night.

La Blaugrana thrashed Athletic Bilbao 4-0 in last weekend's Copa del Rey final, while Getafe managed to take a point from a goalless stalemate with Real Madrid.

We say: Barcelona 3-0 Getafe

Getafe's defensive solidity is certainly there to be admired, but the other end of the pitch is where their real problems lie, and a staunch Barcelona rearguard should have no trouble nullifying their attackers.

Koeman's side ought to be brimming with confidence after a dominant showing in the Copa del Rey, and three points are of paramount importance to Barca at this late stage of the season, so we predict a resounding home win for the Blaugrana.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
