Swansea City to sell Federico Fernandez this summer?

Swansea City are reportedly willing to sell centre-back Federico Fernandez to lower their wage bill this summer.

Swansea City are reportedly willing to offload centre-back Federico Fernandez to trim their wage bill this summer.

The Argentine has made 117 appearances for the Swans since joining in 2014, while also obtaining 32 caps for his national side.

According to The Sun, chairman Huw Jenkins has decided to part ways with the defender, despite already losing the likes of Lukasz Fabianski and Ki Sung-yeung.

The former Napoli player signed a new deal with the Welsh club last year, meaning that he is contracted to Swansea until 2020.

The Championship side may also lose centre-back Alfie Mawson this summer, who has been linked with a move to West Ham United.
