Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists that his club are active in the transfer market despite a lack of movement this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that his club are trying "to sign a few players before the end of the transfer window".

Spurs are yet to add to their squad this summer, despite the new Premier League campaign starting next weekend.

Pochettino, however, speaking after his team's 2-0 win over Juventus on Saturday night, has insisted that Spurs are working to "add some players to the squad" before the August deadline passes.

"We are working, trying to add some players to the squad. Our idea was, the same as before, to try to provide the team with more strength and try to sign a few players before the end of the transfer window," Pochettino told reporters.

Tottenham will begin their new Premier League season with a trip to newly-promoted Newcastle United next Sunday.
