Ianis Hagi agent reveals Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur interest

Ianis Hagi's agent reveals that the Rangers loanee is on the radar of Premier League clubs Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about the availability of Ianis Hagi, according to the Rangers loanee's agent Giovani Becali.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye during his short time on loan at Ibrox from Belgian side Genk, finding the net three times in seven Scottish Premiership and Europa League appearances.

Rangers have an exclusive first option to purchase the Romanian playmaker at the end of the season, but the Glasgow outfit face competition from teams south of the border.

Hagi's agent has revealed that City and Spurs are among the clubs interested in signing his client, but Rangers remain the favourites to sign him.

"I have been asked personally by Jose Mourinho and [City director] Txiki Begiristain about Ianis Hagi," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"They wanted to know about him and how he was getting on. There's a lot of top people in European football who know all about Ianis and what he can do.

"I happen to think Ianis is on a good plan at Rangers. I think Rangers will sign him because he is a player who has that little extra piece of creativity and skill.

"He has many other qualities and is actually more graceful than his father ever was. He runs like a gazelle compared to him! I think he is improving all the time at Rangers. He will continue to get better if he signs for them I think."

A recent report suggested that Hagi, the son of former Barcelona and Real Madrid star Gheorghe, would prefer a permanent move to Lazio in the summer.
