Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter says that he believes Moussa Sissoko's apparent elbow on him during the 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur was accidental.

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has played down an incident involving Moussa Sissoko during this afternoon's 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Sissoko appeared to catch Arter with an elbow while looking to retrieve the ball for a throw-in, prompting an angry reaction from the Bournemouth man.

However, after the match Arter hinted that he believes it was an accidental elbow and praised his side for matching the unbeaten Tottenham at the Vitality Stadium.

"They are an unbelievable side and worked ever so hard, we had to match that today. For a 0-0 it was great game to watch," he told reporters.

"We knew they have a fantastic team, they have not lost in the league and you can see why. We had a gameplan.

"[Sissoko] said afterwards he caught me by accident. He is not that sort of player."

The draw takes Bournemouth into the top half of the table and extends their unbeaten streak to four games.
