Sports Mole looks at how Spain could line up for Thursday's international friendly with Jordan at the Amman International Stadium .

Aymeric Laporte picked up a head injury in his last league outing, and while the Manchester City defender ended up lasting the full course of the 90 minutes, he is not expected to start for Spain against Jordan in Thursday's friendly.

In what was only his fifth start of the season, Carlos Soler grabbed his third goal for Paris Saint-Germain, and that could see him handed a place in the starting XI here.

Unai Simon was the only one of Spain's three goalkeepers not to have featured over the weekend, making the Athletic Bilbao man the favourite to line up between the sticks.

Skipper Sergio Busquets is set to record his 140th cap - the most of any Spanish player heading for the World Cup, although he would still be a considerable way off Sergio Ramos's record of 180.

Dani Carvajal is in line to get the nod at right-back with Cesar Azpilicueta forced off at half time in Chelsea's narrow 1-0 loss to Newcastle United over the weekend.

Despite failing to find the back of the net in his most recent five outings, Alvaro Morata remains on course to be his side's first-choice striker in Qatar, but the 30-year-old is likely to come off the bench on Thursday.

While he primarily operates out wide, Ferran Torres could also be deployed in an unnatural position up top, which would open the door for Nico Williams to make his full Spain debut.

Spain possible starting lineup: Simon; Carvajal, Guillamon, Garcia, Gaya; Soler, Gavi, Busquets; Pino, Torres, Williams
