Former Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa will reportedly complete his move to Sevilla on a free transfer by the end of this week.

Former Nice attacker Hatem Ben Arfa will reportedly complete his move to Sevilla by the end of this week.

The 29-year-old is available on a free transfer having seen his Nice contract expire and he is thought to be in high demand following an impressive season that saw him named France's Player of the Year.

Ben Arfa was understood to be keen on a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain, but the capital outfit have not made a bid for the former Newcastle United and Hull City playmaker.

Instead, Goal.com reports that he has now settled on a move to Sevilla, who are willing to offer him a three-year deal and a signing-on fee of more than €10m (£8.3m).

Ben Arfa, who was left out of France's squad for Euro 2016 despite scoring 17 goals and setting up a further six last season, will link up with new Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli after he was confirmed as Unai Emery's successor on Monday.
