Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Scotland could line up in Friday's Euro 2020 clash with England.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke is hopeful that Kieran Tierney will be available for Friday's Euro 2020 clash with England, having missed out against the Czech Republic on Monday due to a calf problem.

Clarke said that the Arsenal defender 'has a chance' of featuring against the Three Lions, which would be a huge boost to the Scots ahead of what is a key contest in Group D.

There are not expected to be many changes from the side that started the 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic on Monday, with the likes of John McGinn, Scott McTominay and Andrew Robertson all certain starters.

Stuart Armstrong could also keep his spot in the middle of the park, while Jack Hendry may feature as the right-sided centre-back, despite the fact that there are other options in that area of the field.

Clarke will certainly consider making an alteration in the final third, though, with Che Adams potentially coming in alongside Lyndon Dykes, with Scotland needing a result on Friday.

The Scots are not short of options in the forward positions, with Ryan Fraser, James Forrest and Kevin Nisbet also pushing for spots in the side against Gareth Southgate's team.

Scotland had their moments against the Czech Republic in their tournament opener, though, and Clarke might feel that, with a couple of tweaks, the same group of players could pick up a more positive result in their second game, which will be crucial to their chances of progressing to the knockout round of the competition.

Scotland possible starting lineup: Marshall; Hendry, Hanley, Tierney; O'Donnell, McTominay, Armstrong, McGinn, Robertson; Dykes, Adams
