Rotherham United have been relegated to League One courtesy of a 1-0 loss to Fulham this afternoon.

The Millers needed at least a win to keep any hopes of survival alive but their fate was sealed when Sone Aluko struck the only goal of the game at the New York Stadium just after the hour mark.

The result means that the club are mathematically unable to acquire sufficient points for survival from their remaining seven games of the season and ends their three-season stint in the second tier of English football.

The side have managed just four wins all season - all of them at home - and have tasted defeat in 30 of their 39 league games, while today's result represented their eighth loss on the bounce.

Fulham, meanwhile, moved into the top six for the first time since September.
