Wales call up Gareth Bale for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers, despite the Real Madrid forward being sidelined since September 8 with a hamstring injury.

Wales boss Robert Page has suggested that Gareth Bale will recover from a hamstring injury in time to represent Wales later this month.

The Real Madrid forward has been absent since September after sustaining what manager Carlo Ancelotti described as a "significant" injury.

Bale was immediately ruled out of October's World Cup qualifiers and remained hugely doubtful for the final two fixtures with Belarus and Belgium.

However, the 32-year-old has been named in Page's squad for the upcoming double-header, the first game taking place on November 13.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Page said: "Gareth is in a good place. He's raring to go and doing everything possible to get himself 100% fit. He's where we want him to be.

"He's not in full training, but he's back on the grass. He will absolutely be considered for starting games.

"How many minutes he can play we will see, but we will have to assess it as we go. We are confident at the moment not only will he turn up but be fit to play as well."

Should Bale feature later this month, he will be making his 100th appearance for the senior side.
