Eden Hazard is reportedly planning to remain at Real Madrid until the end of his contract in 2024.

Eden Hazard reportedly has no intention of leaving Real Madrid before the end of his contract in 2024.

When Hazard departed Chelsea for the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019, the Belgian star had been expected to continue the form that had saw the Los Blancos splash out up to €150m on his signature.

However, injuries and a loss of form have contributed to the transfer being disastrous for both club and player, Hazard coming nowhere near to justifying his price tag.

The player has contributed seven goals and 11 assists from 73 appearances in all competitions, the majority of those outings not coming during 2022-23.

Instead, the 32-year-old has been provided with just 298 minutes of football by Carlo Ancelotti, with no outing coming since playing 90 minutes in a Copa del Rey tie on January 3.

When Hazard has spoken on his future in the past, he has suggested that he was not open to departing Real in the middle of a season, indicating that a transfer may only materialise in the summer.

Such a scenario would suit Real at a time when any exit for Hazard would free up space on their wage bill to potentially sign another central striker.

Nevertheless, according to The Athletic, Hazard will look to stay at the European champions until the end of next season.

The report says that Hazard is showing priority to his personal circumstances with his family said to be settled in Spain's capital.

Furthermore, one of his son's has allegedly linked up with the Real Madrid academy, something which also seemingly adds weight to Hazard's decision.

Although Hazard has been linked with a return to the Premier League on several occasions, it is claimed that no formal offers have been put forward.

As it stands, it is unclear whether Hazard will be prepared to spend minimal time on the pitch for another 16 months, or if a nearby loan could emerge as a possibility.

Hazard is no longer an option for Belgium having already announced his retirement from international football after his nation's below-par World Cup at the end of last year.
