A report in Spain claims that Real Madrid have seen a bid worth £38m for David Alaba rebuffed by Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid have reportedly failed with a £38m offer for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

It is understood that Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane had made the Austria international his number one summer transfer target.

However, according to AS, the Bavarians are determined to keep the 23-year-old at the Allianz Arena.

The report adds that it would take a bid in excess of £60m for Bayern to even consider doing business.

Alaba is contracted to the German champions until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
