Paris Saint-Germain secured a domestic double by beating Reims 3-0 at Stade de France on Saturday evening to earn their 16th Coupe de France crown, extending their lead as the club with the most French cup wins in history.
The Ligue 1 champions wasted no time racing into an early lead courtesy of Bradley Barcola, whose excellent run was picked out by an equally fantastic pass from Desire Doue with just 16 minutes on the clock.
The 22-year-old forward then added a second just three minutes later, giving Reims a mountain to climb if they were to work their way back into the final that they had gone through three rounds of penalty shootouts to reach.
However, a third goal before half time from Achraf Hakimi snuffed out any slim hopes that Les Rouges et Blancs harboured, and it would be fair to say that PSG had more than one hand on the trophy before the break.
The second 45 developed much the same as the first, as the relegation-threatened underdogs struggled to gain a foothold or any form of stability in the game, but considering that the Champions League finalists produced 2.84 xG and five big chances on the night, the scoreline could have been worse.

Luis Enrique's exciting PSG side ended the domestic season in impressive fashion, and their youthful, versatile forward line once again overpowered their opposition in a big game.
As they prepare for the Champions League final, the manager will be pleased to see his full-backs in full swing as well, with Hakimi netting his team's third while also keeping a clean sheet.
That volley was the Moroccan right-back's 22nd goal contribution of the campaign, and considering the multi-pronged attack that Les Parisens have at their disposal, Inter Milan will do well to keep them out next week.
As for Reims, they will now have no distraction from the threat of demotion as they look ahead to the second leg of their relegation playoff against Metz, and though losing to the Ligue 1 champions was not unexpected, Samba Diawara will be disappointed with how thoroughly they were dominated.
