Nottingham Forest are reportedly closing in on an agreement with Botafogo to sign three of their players.
Despite missing out on Champions League qualification, Forest remain an attractive option in the transfer market courtesy of earning Conference League football, their first experience of Europe in nearly three decades.
As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to have the freedom to make a number of additions to strengthen what was relatively short in terms of first-team numbers for 2024-25.
Last week, it was claimed that Forest were pushing to conclude a deal to sign Brazil international Igor Jesus from Botafogo.
However, according to The Athletic, as many as three players from last season's Brasileiro champions could be making the switch to the City Ground.

Which Botafogo trio could sign for Forest?
Acquiring the signature of Jesus would be the headline piece of business with four caps having been earned with Brazil and 15 goals and six assists coming from 54 appearances for Botafogo.
Nevertheless, Forest are seemingly looking to wrap up deals for left-back Cuiabano and centre-back Jair Cunha at the same time.
Since signing from Gremio last year, Cuiabano has chipped in with six goals and five assists from 51 appearances, while also remaining as a key man at the start of this campaign with Botafogo also competing in the Copa Libertadores.
Cunha - the youngest of the trio at 20 years of age - has emerged as one of the top defensive prospects in Brazilian football, initially helping Santos to promotion from the second tier last year.
Since signing for Botafogo, the centre-back has completed the 90 minutes in each of their 10 league games this season, six clean sheets being recorded in the process.

Is a deal close?
When reports emerged regarding Jesus, it was claimed that he would first represent Botafogo at the upcoming Club World Cup before moving to the East Midlands.
Although not specified, the assumption is that Botafogo will take a similar stance with Cuiabano and Cunha if they are to give the green light to a deal.
A combined transfer fee has not been suggested, but it was claimed last week that Jesus would cost €20m (£16.81m).
