Nottingham Forest overwhelmingly take home the honour of the Premier League's biggest overachievers in the 2024-25 Sports Mole Readers' Awards.

Nottingham Forest have been overwhelmingly voted the Premier League's biggest overachievers in the 2024-25 Sports Mole Readers' Awards.

After only just staving off relegation in the 2023-24 campaign - finishing in 17th place - the Tricky Trees ended their 30-year absence from European football this term.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men were in the driving seat for Champions League football for much of the season, although they ultimately had to accept seventh spot in the Premier League table and a ticket to the Conference League.

Nevertheless, having finished 10 places higher while collecting 33 more points this time around, Forest were named the Overachievers of the Season with a staggering 64.7% of the vote.

Champions Liverpool were an incredibly distant second with 15.2% after unexpectedly winning the title in Arne Slot's first season, while Bournemouth finished third with 8.5%, despite missing out on Europe.

Newcastle United - who are Champions League-bound - also took home a portion of the vote, as did Brentford thanks to their top-half finish.

1. Nottingham Forest - 64.7%
2. Liverpool - 15.2%
3. Bournemouth - 8.5%
4. Newcastle United - 8.2%
5. Brentford - 3.4%
