Lorenzo Insigne would be prepared to leave Napoli this summer if a new and improved contract does not arrive, claims one of the attacker's representatives.

Lorenzo Insigne would be prepared to leave Napoli if he is not offered a new and improved contract, according to one of the Italian international's representatives.

Insigne, 25, scored 13 times in 37 appearances for Napoli last season and it is understood that the attacker is desperate to sign a fresh contract with the Italian club.

However, Franco Della Monica, who is one of Insigne's agents, has claimed that the Italian 'is not lacking in options' in an apparent warning to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

"Insigne deserves a top club, and Napoli are one," Della Monica told Radio Crc. "De Laurentiis will reward Lorenzo like he deserves, if not then we're not lacking other clubs. What counts is that Insigne and Napoli want to stay together.

"De Laurentiis has always spoken of Insigne as the [Francesco] Totti of Napoli. The Roma forward has always been rewarded and Insigne expects the same treatment."

Insigne is currently with the Italian national team preparing for Euro 2016.
