Saturday night brings an exciting Brasileiro Serie A showdown as Mirassol welcome Vitoria to the Estadio Jose Maria de Campos Maia.
Rafael Guanaes's Mirassol will aim to make home advantage count, while Vitoria, led by Thiago Carpini, arrive in Sao Paulo hoping to continue their momentum after a hard-fought draw last time out.
Match preview
Heading into Saturday’s clash, the momentum firmly sits with Mirassol, who have been one of the most consistent sides at home in this Serie A campaign.
Guanaes's men are unbeaten in their last 14 league games on home soil, winning the last three consecutively.
Their dominant 3-0 win over Santos last weekend is further proof of their attacking intent and solid form as they keep in touch with the top teams on the table, before triumphing 2-0 over Ceara in midweek.
Currently sitting seventh in the Brasileiro table, Mirassol have scored 23 goals this season, 10 more than their visitors, and they have only tasted defeat twice in 15 rounds.
Vitoria, by contrast, have struggled away from home and will need to produce something special to turn their fortunes around.
Carpini's side have gone 10 straight away league matches without a win, failing to score in their last three on the road.
However, their recent 1-0 victory over Bragantino and 2-2 draw with Sport may offer a morale boost as they get set for the clash in Sao Paolo.
With Vitoria placed 15th and desperate to climb away from the lower end of the table, this match presents both a challenge and an opportunity.
Mirassol, though, are clear favourites based on current form and home strength as they have been one of the best sides in the Brasileiro this season.

Team News
Mirassol head coach Guanaes is expected to field a strong lineup as his side look to maintain momentum at home.
Leading the charge in attack will be Gabriel who has two goals in the league, supported by the in-form Reinaldo, who has already netted seven goals this season and remains one of Mirassol’s most dangerous threats in the final third.
However, midfielder Danielzinho is suspended, so Matheus Bianqui can potentially look forward to a starting role in the engine room.
Reliable defender Joao Victor will miss the game due to suspension while Alesson and Yago Felipe as doubtful due to injury.
On the Vitoria side, manager Thiago Carpini will be hoping Kayzer can continue his scoring form and add to his tally of four goals this season.
However, Vitoria may be forced to do without Erick and Osvaldo, who are suspended, while Jamerson and Neris are definitely out of Saturday’s clash.
Mirassol possible starting lineup:
Walter; Borges, Gabriel, Jemmes, Reinaldo; Bianqui, Moura, Gabriel; Negueba, Da Costa, Alesson
Vitoria possible starting lineup:
Arcanjo; Caceres, Jesus, Fabricio, Halter; Ze Marcos, Ronald, Baralhas, Matheuzinho; Braga; Kayzer
We say: Mirassol 2-0 Vitoria
The home side look to be in good form at home and will hope to add more misery to Vitoria who have not been good on the road lately. We predict an easy win for Mirassol in this one.
