West Ham United reportedly place a £100m valuation on midfielder Declan Rice to fend off interest from other Premier League clubs this summer.

West Ham United have reportedly placed a £100m price tag on Declan Rice amid interest from a number of fellow Premier League clubs.

Rice has long been a vital cog in the West Ham side, as well as a regular in the England side under Gareth Southgate.

With the Hammers languishing near the bottom of the table though, talks have intensified on Rice's future at the London Stadium, with Champions League clubs among those circling the midfielder.

The Daily Mail claim that the hefty price tag will aim to fend off interest from Arsenal in particular, after the Gunners are said to have made him their top transfer target for the summer.

Central midfield is one area Mikel Arteta is reportedly hoping to strengthen, and they are now a more enticing option given their qualification for next season's Champions League.

Interest in Moises Caicedo and Amadou Onana failed to materialise in January, as Arsenal brought in only Jorginho from Chelsea to bolster their midfield.

However, Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be very interested, while Manchester City and Liverpool both continue to monitor the situation.
