Paris Saint-Germain make contact with Paul Pogba to gauge his interest in a summer switch from Manchester United, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly touched base with Paul Pogba's camp to gauge his interest in a possible switch to the Parc des Princes.

The midfielder's contract at Manchester United now has less than 12 months left to run, and he is believed to have rejected the opportunity to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford is supposedly trying to convince Pogba to stay at the club, but United would be under pressure to sell him this summer if he ultimately decides against extending his Old Trafford stay.

According to The Athletic, PSG have now made contact with Pogba over a move to Ligue 1, but the French giants could still wait and try to sign him on a free transfer in 2022.

The report adds that Mauricio Pochettino's side have not approached Man United with a formal bid just yet, but the Red Devils are bracing themselves for an approach in the coming weeks.

Pogba has had a direct hand in 80 goals from 206 appearances during his second spell at Man United, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains optimistic about the club's chances of keeping hold of the 28-year-old.
