Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe rules out a summer exit from the French champions amid links with Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he will be staying with the French champions for the 2023-24 campaign, temporarily ending speculation over his future.

The 24-year-old surprised the European landscape by agreeing to a new Parisiens contract last summer, renewing until 2024 with the option of a further year and snubbing interest from Real Madrid.

However, only a few months after tying their franchise player down to a new deal, PSG were stunned by reports claiming that he regretted his decision and wanted to move elsewhere after all.

It was alleged that PSG had broken promises made to Mbappe when he put pen to paper, leaving the France international feeling "betrayed" and considering his options for a departure.

Real Madrid are still believed to retain an interest in the former Monaco starlet, but Los Blancos are expected to wait until 2024 to formally reignite their pursuit ahead of an expected new deal for Karim Benzema.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Mbappe, whom Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani reportedly wants to bring to Old Trafford if he completes a summer takeover.

However, speaking to the media at Sunday's Ligue 1 end-of-season awards ceremony - where he was crowned Player of the Year for the fourth time - Mbappe ruled out a summer transfer.

"There's no more links about my future? I'm very happy here at PSG and with my choice to be part of this project. I will be here at PSG next season," the striker responded, having previously hinted at a stay in order to help PSG finally win the Champions League.

Mbappe's future beyond the summer of 2024 remains clouded in uncertainty, though, as the France international is yet to activate the option in his contract to stay on until 2025.

As a result, PSG could run the risk of losing Mbappe on a free transfer at the end of next season, five years after signing him permanently in a €180m (£156.3m) deal from Monaco.

Since initially joining Les Parisiens on loan in the summer of 2017, Mbappe has amassed a club-record 211 goals in 259 games for the club, breaking Edinson Cavani's previous record of 200 in March's 4-2 win over Nantes.

The World Cup winner has also set up 98 goals for Les Parisiens, including in their title-clinching 1-1 draw with Strasbourg on Saturday, laying the ball on a plate for Lionel Messi to open the scoring.

PSG's point secured an 11th Ligue 1 title for the capital club - five of which Mbappe has won - and the striker also tops the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts heading into the final matchday.

Mbappe has netted 28 goals in 33 top-flight fixtures this season - one more than Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette - posting 40 goals and 10 assists from 42 games during the current campaign in all tournaments .
