Manchester United will aim to become the first team to win 300 Premier League away matches when they travel to Aston Villa.

Manchester United will be aiming to become the first team to win 300 Premier League away matches when they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa this weekend.

The Red Devils recorded a 1-0 victory over Villa in the FA Cup on Monday and will be looking to make it back-to-back successes over Steven Gerrard's side in the league on Saturday.

The 20-time English champions have won 299 Premier League away fixtures and will look to make it 300 in the competition with a success here, becoming the first team to reach that milestone in the process.

No side has been victorious in more Premier League fixtures (37) or away matches (17) in the league's history than Man United against Villa, with the Red Devils enjoying a lot of success against their opponents this weekend.

Man United have not lost a league fixture at Villa Park since August 1995, although they suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Lions in the reverse match at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Ralf Rangnick's side are currently seventh in the Premier League table, six points behind fourth-placed West Ham United with two games in hand on the Hammers.

The Red Devils will be aiming to return to winning ways in the league, having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last match in England's top flight.
