Liverpool will reportedly not ask the FA to award them three points after their Premier League game against Manchester United was postponed last weekend.

Liverpool will reportedly not ask the FA to award them three points after their Premier League game at Old Trafford against rivals Manchester United was postponed last weekend.

The match was due to be played at 4:30pm on Sunday, however the game was called off due to safety worries after hundreds of United supporters made their way into the stadium to protest against the club's owners, the Glazer family.

According to The Mirror, under current rules and regulations, Jurgen Klopp's side can be awarded all three points if the Premier League agree that the fixture was "abandoned due to the conduct of one club or its supporters" and if they decide that the fixture cannot be replayed at a later date.

The fixture has yet to be rearranged and may prove problematic for Man United and their current schedule, due to their involvement in the Europa League, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side on the verge of reaching the final.

However, the weekend beginning May 15 is a time that the Red Devils would be available to play, although this would likely see Liverpool's match with West Bromwich Albion rearranged from Sunday 16.

The Reds have also yet to be given a date for their trip to Burnley, which is set to be played between May 18 and May 20.

Another option could see United forced to play two games in three days, with their match against Leicester City on May 12 rearranged, as Liverpool have a free midweek schedule that week.
