Antonio Conte has plans to shake up Manchester United if appointed manager, including a change in formation, according to a report.

Antonio Conte has outlined his blueprint for Manchester United should he take the managerial job, according to a report.

The Italian has been strongly linked with the Old Trafford hotseat, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said to be on the brink of losing his job following the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Conte has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in May, less than a month after leading the club to their first Serie A title in 11 years.

The Mirror have suggested a number of changes that Conte could make at Man United, including a switch to a three-man defence.

This has been the system that he has used at previous clubs, including when Chelsea won the Premier League in 2016-17. It would mean that Aaron Wan-Bissaka would have to adapt to a much more attack-minded role at right wing-back.

The report adds that Conte's priority in the transfer market would be adding more quality in the centre of midfield to challenge the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay.

Finally, it claims that Cristiano Ronaldo could be deployed as a focal point to lead the line in attack, which the Portuguese international was said to be hesitant about doing when it was rumoured that Conte could be the next Juventus manager in 2019.
