Sunderland manager David Moyes refuses to rule out a move for out-of-favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Sunderland manager David Moyes has admitted that he is in the market for a new goalkeeper after Vito Mannone was ruled out for three months.

The Italian has torn ligaments in his elbow, which has left England Under-21 international Jordan Pickford in line to make just his third Premier League appearance in the game against Southampton this weekend.

At his pre-match press conference, Moyes was asked whether he will consider a move for Joe Hart, who has been given permission to leave Manchester City, and the Black Cats boss has refused to rule out a late bid for the England stopper.

The Scot told reporters: "We'll have to look for another goalkeeper and we will assess what we are going to do.

"We have only got a few more days so you will not have to wait long to find out what goalkeeper we will get."

Sunderland are one of three teams yet to register a point in the Premier League this season.
