Juventus confirm that Dani Alves will leave the club this summer after just one season in Turin.

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Dani Alves will leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian impressed during his first and only season with the Italian giants, scoring six goals and creating seven assists.

Despite helping the team win the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia, Alves has cancelled the option of a one-year extension in Turin.

"It is not failure, motivation is important for a player," The Mirror quotes Marotta as saying. "Dani Alves has made you want to try an alternative experience, we will make a consensual resolution, and we wish him every luck.

"Surely there is bitterness for what he said, but I confirm that there was no break."

Reports have claimed that Alves is keen on a move to Manchester City to reunite with his former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
