Henrikh Mkhitaryan has said that Manchester United "definitely want to fight" for the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils won three trophies during the 2016-17 campaign, landing the Community Shield, League Cup and Europa League, the latter of which secured a return to the Champions League.

The 20-time English champions only finished sixth in last season's Premier League table, however, and Mkhitaryan is eyeing a title challenge for Man United in the new campaign.

"The Champions League is where Manchester United belongs and we are all happy to be playing in this great competition again. For the new season we definitely want to fight for the title," Mkhitaryan told United's official website.

Mkhitaryan, 28, scored 11 times in 41 appearances for United last term following his move from Borussia Dortmund.
