Manchester City striker Divin Mubama is reportedly attracting interest from Ipswich Town, who are looking for a Liam Delap replacement this summer.

Manchester City striker Divin Mubama is reportedly wanted by Ipswich Town this summer.

The Tractor Boys returned to the Premier League for the first time in two decades this season but suffered an immediate relegation back to the Championship.

Unlikely to be plying his trade in the second tier next term, Liam Delap is close to securing a switch from Portman Road to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.

The striker netted 12 goals during his maiden top-flight campaign, a record which has seemingly spared him of second-tier football in 2025-26.

Ipswich - looking to secure promotion at the first time of asking under Kieran McKenna - are searching for replacements for West London-bound Delap.

Man City youngster Mubama wanted by Ipswich?

According to the Daily Mail, Championship Ipswich could move to sign a Manchester City youngster in order to fill the void left by the departing Delap.

The report claims that the Tractor Boys are interested in bringing Citizens forward Mubama to Portman Road ahead of the 2025-26 second-tier campaign.

It is understood that McKenna's men are favouring a permanent deal for Muabama, who has featured in just 20 senior matches combined for Man City and West Ham United.

However, Pep Guardiola's side supposedly favour a loan move for the 20-year-old at this stage, with the player possessing the potential to blossom into a top-class forward.

Ipswich are also said to be keen on a deal for Chelsea's Marc Guiu, although he is yet to be convinced to drop into the Championship for a season.

Ipswich's promotion chances

Receiving parachute payments from the Premier League, Ipswich are one of the favourites for promotion next term, alongside the likes of Southampton and Sheffield United.

There are also a pair of newly-promoted sides threatening to disrupt the established order, with Birmingham City and Wrexham preparing for big transfer windows.

Both out on promotion via the playoffs in recent years, Middlesbrough and Coventry City will be expected to fight at the top of the second tier once again.
