Man City injury, suspension news and return dates for FA Cup final with Crystal Palace: Rodri, Nathan Ake, John Stones latest

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of the FA Cup final with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Manchester City are back in action on Saturday when they square off against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.

The main focus of Pep Guardiola and his squad has been guaranteeing Champions League qualification for next season, that still in jeopardy courtesy of last weekend's goalless draw at bottom-side Southampton.

Nevertheless, City can put a positive spin on a disappointing campaign if they can lift this trophy yet again, and make up for losing to neighbours Manchester United 12 months ago.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of yet another trip to the capital, this time to face opponents who are bidding to win their first-ever FA Cup.

Rodri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Rodri's ACL injury, sustained during the clash with Arsenal at home in September last year, will sideline him for the rest of the season, and there is only a slim chance of the Ballon d'Or winner playing at the Club World Cup over the summer.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: May 20 (vs. Bournemouth)

Nathan Ake had surgery after suffering a fracture in his left foot two months ago, and Guardiola has revealed he is recovering well. As of last week, the Spaniard stated that Ake had returned to partial training, but he has since been ruled out of the final.

John Stones

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: May 20 (vs. Bournemouth)

John Stones has not featured since sustaining a thigh injury in the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid in February. As of last week, Guardiola stated that the defender was "getting better but not [available] yet", and he has since been ruled out again.

Oscar Bobb

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: May 20 (vs. Bournemouth)

With Oscar Bobb playing just 13 minutes since August 11, the winger will not be considered for this contest. Nevertheless, the Norwegian is said to be making progress in his recovery from a thigh injury that has kept him out since the middle of last month.
