Despite Jerzy Dudek's heroics in the 2005 Champions League final, Pepe Reina was immediately installed as Liverpool's number one goalkeeper following his arrival at the club that summer.
The Spaniard quickly proved why Rafael Benitez had placed such faith in him too, breaking the club record for consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League (8) and all competitions (11) during his debut campaign on Merseyside.
Reina also holds the record for the fewest goals conceded in his first 50 games for Liverpool, winning the Premier League's Golden Glove award for most clean sheets in 2005-06 - a campaign which also ended with an FA Cup winners' medal thanks largely to his three penalty saves in the shootout against West Ham United.
It was one of four trophies Reina picked up at Liverpool before reuniting with Benitez at Napoli in 2013, by which point he had made almost 400 appearances across all competitions for the Reds - 284 of which came in the Premier League.
Only five goalkeepers in Premier League history have kept more clean sheets than Reina, and only Petr Cech and David Seaman can boast more than Reina's 134 with a single club.
