Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Tuesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is hopeful of welcoming Joe Gomez and Naby Keita back for Tuesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan.

Neither man took part in the win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend but have rejoined the team for training and could earn some minutes in this inconsequential battle.

It would be a surprise to see Keita or Gomez start, though, while Harvey Elliott, Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones remain on the sidelines, and James Milner is suspended for an accumulation of bookings.

Caoimhin Kelleher may just lose out to Alisson Becker for a start in goal, but Neco Williams and Kostas Tsimikas are likely to get the nod in the full-back areas.

One of Virgil van Dijk or Joel Matip ought to partner the returning Ibrahima Konate this week, and the former could get the nod against a Milan side still with plenty to fight for.

Tyler Morton and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can both feel hopeful of earning another start in the engine room, where they will most likely be joined by experienced head Jordan Henderson.

Takumi Minamino could displace Sadio Mane on the left as Mohamed Salah continues on the right, and the "legend" that is Divock Origi will certainly expect to spearhead the attack after adding to his collection of heroic last-minute goals at Molineux.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Williams, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Morton, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Origi, Minamino
